Bugeye Race Car Simulator

Bugeye Technologies recently launched a new product called the “Bugeye Race Car Simulator”. This new and exciting product has been created for the professional drivers. The immersive panoramic display provided with this product is a giant step forward in putting a man in the loop for driver training. This technology was developed at The Boeing Company for use on the Joint Strike Fighter Program.

The Bugeye display utilizes a patented display technology creating a virtual image, focused at infinity, providing a perceived 3D field of view without the use of goggles. Bugeye achieves this by using commercially available off the shelf lenses and LCD panels. The Bugeye display creates an immersive surround view some 20 feet in front of the viewer’s eye. It is similar to looking out of a window. This system can be scaled to meet the customer needs, is affordable, and can be readily adapted to many driver simulation software products.

The following is a partial list of software that will adapt to the Bugeye simulator:

• NASCAR Racing 2003 Season
• rFactor with ARCA/REMAX Simulation Series
• GTR
• Dirt Track Racing 2, Saturday Night Speedway
• F1-Challenge 99-02, Grand Prix Legends
• Midnight Club 2, Pro Race Driver
• Motocross Madness 2, Moto GP 2

While the basic software packages provide a limited number of racetracks, the ARCA/REMAX Simulation Series software package is planned for near term use as a training tool for upcoming races. These software packages permit the driver to have total control over the set up of their car (in the garage) prior to simulated racing. It is just as though they are fine-tuning their real machine.

Bugeye has proven experience providing complete systems, along with configuring the hardware and software to meet your requirements, or providing assistance in the set up of the software to meet your desired results. The Bugeye team has many years of manned simulation experience and is currently working to create the best in driving simulation experience.
